Just visited this newly opened warehouse gym and I’m impressed. It’s huge, spacious, and well-ventilated with cold air-conditioning that keeps the space comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful.

After the entrance is a cardio section with treadmills and ellipticals. The free weights are solid—more than enough redundant sets of dumbbells and squat racks / power cages:, so no waiting even during peak hours. There are also two units of cable crossover machines, which are always in high demand.

Pin-loaded machines max out at 73kg (160lbs), and while there are plate-loaded options for heavier lifters, none are bolted down, making some a bit wobbly. Most equipment is from Impulse—not top-tier like Hammer Strength, so it may not suit serious bodybuilders, but it’s good enough for general fitness, CrossFit, and functional training.

Plenty of extras too—training sled, TRX, battle ropes, landmine barbell, kettlebells, slam / wall balls, power bags, Bulgarian bags, and even kickboxing punching bags.

The restrooms are spacious, and fitted with several dozen smart lockers. Open till 12am daily with ample parking—perfect for night owls like me!

Very impressed with this new gym. Well and new equipped. Clean and tidy. Not sure about peak hour crowd, but weekend afternoon not many. Apart from the federal highway jam, I think a very good gym.

I went to this amazing gym on a random Thursday last week around 9pm-11pm . Walk in was rm28. I didn’t mind the price because the gym was amazing really.

The place was spacious and well ventilated because it did not feel stuffy. The parking was spacious and bright. The registration on the app was abit lengthy but for good reason, for the face recognition during entry and buying the entry passes.

When you enter the first thing you see would be the cardio machines. Alot of them really. If you follow the race track layout you would then find the huge gym. Wouldn’t need a genius to get around the gym really.

Now onto the juicy part, there’s alot of adjustable bences which is a must for me when going to a gym because some gyms dont have these options.

The machines ranges from cable machines and plate loaded machines which gives the gym goers alot of options even when its crowded. Every machine for every body part really. There’s also a number of squats racks and they use bumper plates.

Overall it’s a 10/10 gym with friendly staff especially ilhan and another dude which I did not get his name who I had a very lengthy conversation on the gym and I got every question answered they even followed up on my questions through WhatsApp which shows their dedication.

Really hope the gym gets the recognition it deserves really. Credit where credit is due and not make odd comments like “the gym feels like a maze”. Will come back as a member of this awesome gym.

Excellent air-conditioned gym with a wide range of machines and power racks, as well as a clean and tidy environment. However I had to take one star off because all users of the gym (including walk ins) must sign up for an account using a dedicated app (Katch), which is only available in the Malaysian App Store.

Since I'm from the UK, the app was not available for me to download. Fortunately I was still able to sign up for an account via their website, but another hurdle was that their online payment system did not accept foreign cards, only local debit/credit cards or eWallet accounts.

Therefore my suggestion to the management is to come up with a way to allow walk in users to (a) use the gym without signing up for an account, and (b) update the payment system to allow on-site payment via cash or card, instead of relying fully on online payment only.

This is because tourists, expats or foreigners do not typically stay in the country long enough to justify a 3 or 6 month gym membership and instead opt for day passes instead. However they may not have local mobile numbers to sign up for an account and/or local payment methods (eWallet / cards) - without them, they might see this as a less attractive option when it comes to choosing gyms to workout in.

A premium air-conditioned gym AND one that provides day pass (walk in) is still quite rare in the PJ area, therefore if the management can sort these things out, they are on for a winner here. I wish them all the best!

Brand new gym with great facilities! Definitely coming back to try out more of their equipment

As a first-timer at Optimum Fit, I was quite disappointed with the experience. Despite seeing around 7-8 staff members at the counter, no one offered a tour or any assistance — perhaps because I was only on a one-day pass rather than a monthly or yearly membership. The layout was confusing and felt like a maze, with little to no guidance provided.

Even the staff seemed poorly trained and unsure about basic things like how the lockers operate. The lockers themselves were unnecessarily complicated, with no clear instructions on how to use them.

At RM28 for 4-hour pass, I expected at least decent service and some orientation. Unfortunately, the facilities and customer service did not live up to the price.
