    Had a great week training here!

    Equipment is great! The gym is really nice. The coaches are friendly and the community is nice!

    Classes were varied, easy to book and good workouts.

    Awesome to have a shower after my workout also.

    But… as a regular CrossFitter, it wasn’t perfect.

    The most disappointing thing was that the strength/skills part of the workout rarely came with much coaching. We should be improving technique in this part, but most coaches just preferred to tell you what exercises to do and let you do it, so not helping you much.

    This was especially frustrating for me. Just because I am better at some movements than some beginners in the class, sometimes meant they got most of the coaching help and so I couldn’t improve myself.

    They publish workouts before the class, but then often change them. I can see this isn’t great if you’re planning to attend based on the workout.

    They often change the workouts during the session, which is fine as I think they are adapting it to the people in the class. But multiple times they didn’t tell me or explain well about the changes, which was confusing. Personally I think it’s better to stick to the plan.

    Some of the instructors seem lazy during the workout (but maybe it’s what they are trained to do) as they prefer for you to just follow the warm up on the board, rather than running through the warmup with everyone like most CrossFit boxes do. Was annoying for me especially because I didn’t know half the warm up moves.

    The workouts were not super challenging. Most classes were over in 40 minutes only. I rarely burned more than 400 calories which is crazy as a normal CrossFit class would be closer to 800 calories burned for me. But at least I could hang around after class and do more by myself.

    Another frustrating part was that several of the other people in the class would skip reps. I was only here for a week and I saw it many times. I know it’s not a competition, but if you’re cheating, then you’re cheating yourself. That’s not a good attitude towards life, and it’s also confusing for others during the workout - it makes people think they are doing too many reps or whatever.

    Another weird thing to me is that some of the coaches can’t do some of the movements. I don’t particularly have a problem with this, but then they should have a way that they can actually coach it. If I’m not getting coached, then I should at least be able to copy what someone is doing, else how can I improve myself?

    Cool down is basic every time. Easy stretch is rushed and there isn’t often isolation for the main muscle groups you worked that class.

    Overall, AMAZING facility, friendly vibes, but maybe not the best place for experienced CrossFitters to really excel.

    Been a member since 2018. 5 years in and i am still here. Had a few progression here and there. Few skills unlocked here and there. Managed to size down from xxl to m now.

    This place brings so much more than fitness. We becomw family & we support each other. Coaches are well trained and very supportive! Workouts are carefully planned to cater the clients. And dont worry if you are a first timer, they have a scaled version for u.

    Membership price is very affordable! Parking is easy to find too! So come ! Get your first trial & sign up for membership! See you guys there!

    (There are two locations and went to both). Had the pleasure of taking a few classes here during my visit. The coaches are extremely welcoming. This box is much more spacious than the other, so great for those who like ample space. Classes are maxed at 10 so everyone still has lots of room and individual attention. Grace is a great coach! Took time to demonstrate movements, helped scale movements for each person, and even challenged people to try a version a step slightly beyond their comfort. Thanks for the great experience! Highly recommend

    Even though I am only able to attend the weekend session, Coach Didi (Horizon) and Coach Adik (Perling) has been great and clear with their instructions and teaching me the right form doing every workout or movement especially for barbell snatch.

    I know not many ppl actually workout on weekend, personally I hope there’s more ppl joining for weekend session.

    Overall the culture is friendly and encouraging ☺️

    This is one of the first few Cross Fit Box in Johor Bahru. A comfortable gym, easy to access and plenty parking around. The facilities are new and more facilities are coming. The boss Ray is a professional Cross Fit coach. He is not only professional, he is friendly and always ready to answer any gym/health questions. He also pay good attention to everyone and correct us to the right posture of each activity. The receptionist is friendly too, if you have any enquiries, feel free to drop by. To conclude, this gym is a very heart warming and comfortable gym. I would suggest crossfiters and new comer to pay a visit here (first trial is available) you will definitely love here. One of the best gyms I ever been

    Friendly people! Unlike other gyms, this gym tells you exactly what you should do. It's a cross-fit gym (or something, my gym vocabulary is limited). When I went to other gyms I mindlessly do the treadmill and power bicycle, but over here there's the coach (if you come during the class sessions) who watches you and tells you what to do. Best of all - it's suited to your ability. If you can't lift the 5kg, he'll give you the 2.5kg. If you can't do the pole thing or something, he'll suggest an alternative. An interactive gym, not a you-come-you-pay-you-do-yourself gym. Thinking of signing up!
